Katie Crush clothing is a DIY label based in Manchester, U.K. Crush creates distinctive DIY clothing with a sweatshop-free, punk-rock ethos and an emphasis on fun. She individually hand-makes each item using a process called applique; every detail of the design is separately cut and sewn to the fabric to create the image. This process makes each piece unique, as no two are ever exactly the same.
Katie Crush launched in 2006 selling handmade clothing online and in a number of boutiques across the UK. In 2009 Katie Crush opened a store in Manchester's alternative shopping emporium, Afflecks, and in 2010 the brand began to be stocked by retail companies worldwide.
